Biography

news / daily duff
Born in 1977, Koralie originates from Montpellier in Southern France. Today she lives and works from New York. Koralie's inspiration comes from japanese illustrations from the XIIIth-century prints to the manga arts. Add in a few african braids, english curls, russian dolls, indian folklore, XVIth-century headgears, chandeliers and now we are really getting somewhere... She creates her graphic iconic Geishas by mixing sensuality and modesty, elegance and vibrant colors. She loves the urban environment and started using the street walls as a new medium for her paintings in 1999. She has featured in gallery and museum shows all over the world and her work has done well at international auction. Featured in everything from juxtapose, Modart, Art of Rebellion, interantional newspapers...Nelly is pleased to add this pioneering female artist to our roster. Please say Hello to Miss Koralie Love.
