Biography
Richard Ardagh lives and works in London, specialising in graphic design and art direction. After graduating from Central St Martins in 2003, Richard has produced work for clients in the UK and Japan. Since setting up his own studio in 2006 he has taken on a wide variety of projects including identities and branding, exhibitions and events, interiors, products, packaging, fashion print and publications.
‘Oranges and Lemons' is an English nursery rhyme which refers to the bells of six churches, all within or close to the City of London and dates from around the 17th century. The origins are unknown and many alternate lyrics and meanings have been suggested.
This limited run of 130 were set and printed by hand on an Albion Press, and are the first in a series of projects between Richard Ardagh and Graham Bignell - a collaboration initiated by Nelly Duff.
