Dave White is a contemporary British artist whose work celebrates popular culture by interpreting emotive issues in a beautifully stylistic yet striking manner. White engages with his subjects through a textured visual language, whilst exploring the complex theme of endangered species.

White has enjoyed a growing success since the 90’s, having been selected for the Northern Graduates exhibition at the Royal College of Art in 1994, where he first exhibted animal portraiture. This was followed by an exhibition at Sotheby’s London to celebrate the Blue Cross centenary and continued with international art fairs.

In 2002, Dave pioneered the ‘Sneaker Art’ movement through his masterful execution of pop art inspired sneaker portraits, which has lead to fruitful and long-term collaborations with Nike and Jordan.

Dave white exhibits internationally throughout the USA, Europe and Asia.

Flamingo Movement by Dave White

It’s been a busy year for Nelly Duff and Dave White! First he teamed up with us here at Nelly Duff for his exhibition ‘Paradise’, and released the largest number of new editions yet in a haze of tropical plants and warm summer sun. He then went on to release two iconic new Apex editions which we consider the best yet. Nelly Duff is proud to have worked so closely with Dave this year, and look forward to continuing to supporting his inimitable talent going forward.

" The most important thing is to get people to re-engage with these animals, we totally forget we share our world with them! When you actually step back and see them again, it totally blows your mind"
