Based on his iconic 2006 iconic London mural, which appeared first on canvas in his Los Angeles show ‘Barely Legal’, ‘No Ball Games’ simplicity and irreverence is signature of the internationally renowned artist’s most active period. Released as an edition of 250 in 2006 in both grey and green, this pristine hand-signed and numbered piece is one of Banksy’s most significant works.
Aside from its indisputable value as one of the most recognised editions in Banksy’s oeuvre, its strength as a piece lies in its brave composition and competent replication of the artist’s refined stencil and spray paint medium. The original mural in Tottenham, North London was removed in 2013 by the Sincura group, divided into three parts and sold, with the profits (over £500,000) going to a UK children’s charity.
Framed and with full Pest Control certification, this immaculate edition deserves prize position in even the most accomplished collections.
