THE GOLDEN FACE

Known internationally for her fine line drawings combined with intricate geometric patterns, British artist Jessica Albarn’s practise is driven by her passion for nature and dedication to conservation.

Focusing primarily on animals native to the British Isles, Albarn’s delicate renderings have led her to exhibit extensively as well as writing and illustrating two books. She has also collaborated on a number of occasions, including once with Helmut Lang during a three-day live drawing event in Tokyo for their ‘Spiderling’ collection. Her passion in particular for bees and their preservation is a source of constant passion and inspiration for Albarn, and has even established her own wildflower meadow in Devon to encourage their survival.
