This image is inspiRed by a collection of t-shirts produced in 2007. The use of animal heads has been a regular subject matter for me to explore and I wanted this image to be bold, graphic and commanding. The image, although not really 3D, gives the illusion that the image is jumping out towards the on looker.
A five colour, hand screen-printed artwork by the artist featuring a solid layer with a Gold printed background. The Gold ink is made from pure, non-oxidising bronze powders that retain their brilliance and density after they have been printed. The carefully sized half tone dots are layerd to give the “illusion” of being photographicaly reproduced in a tradional sence of a CMYK print. Each screen print is hand pulled giving every print their own identity.
